Stress Check Report

This report shows the actual and allowable stresses for tension and compression conditions. If the combination that is being checked is applicable to both tension and compression, then all columns have data. If either tension or compression are not applicable to the selected combination, then the corresponding columns are data are filled with dashes.

The POI and Location columns show the name and location of the POI. The Max-Ten column shows the maximum tensile stress. The Loc column shows the location where the stress response exists, i.e., Beam-Top (Bm-T), or Beam-Bottom (Bm-B). The All-Ten columns show the allowable tensile stress at this location. The Ratio column is the ratio of the allowable stress to the maximum stress. If the ratio is greater than 999.99, it prints as 999.99 for clarity. If the maximum stress is more than the allowable, and the ratio is less than 1.00, then an asterisk prints next to the ratio to indicate the failure at this location. The next four columns are similar to the tensile stresses, but are reported for compressive stresses. Note that compressive stresses are negative.

The graphical version of this report shows the tensile and compressive stresses regardless of the type of combination.
